December 30, 2019 - 2020 Schedule and Weekly Purses Announced
Greenwood, LA (12/30/19) – Boothill Speedway has released the speedway’s schedule for the 2020 season. The schedule currently lists 17 race event weekends along with 2 playdays to open the 2020 season.

Highlights on the schedule include the “Ronny Adams Memorial” on March 6th and 7th featuring the COMP Cams Super Late Models competing for over $40,000 in prize money. On April 25th, Boothill Speedway welcomes the return of the USMTS Modified Series as part of a 3-race swing for that series in the south. The 6th Annual “Battle at Boothill” with $5,000 To-Win for the Limited Modifieds will occur on June 18th – 20th. On July 30th – August 1st the “King of the Hill” returns with $10,000 To-Win for the Factory Stocks and as always, Boothill will host the 48th Annual running of the “LA State Championships” on September 26th.

Between all of these marquee events, Boothill will also have 13 weekends of regular racing action that includes the FWD, Factory Stock, Pro Mods, Limited Mods, and Crate Late Models. The schedule is still a work in progress, so don’t be surprised if more special events with Super Late Models, Open Wheel Modifieds, or other classes are added later throughout the season.

Boothill Speedway has also released its weekly payout. With many drivers preparing cars for the addition of the Crate Late Models to Boothill on a weekly basis, there have been many questions on both that classes’ payout and if it would impact the existing weekly classes. There will be no changes in the 2020 payouts for the FWD, Factory Stocks, Pro Mods, and Limited Mods compared to 2019. The Crate Late Models will be competing for over $3,000 in prize money weekly with $800 going to the feature winner. As always, there is no entry fee on weekly classes, all purses are guaranteed, not based on car count, and features will start a minimum of 20 cars.

Boothill Speedway will also run a 10 Lap race for Beginners if 6 or more drivers have entered before registration closes nightly. If there are less than 6 cars signed in for Beginners on any given night, those drivers will be placed on the back of the Factory Stock heat races if they so choose. Participants eligible for the Beginners class must not be older than 18, have no more than 2 Feature wins at Boothill, or competed in no more than 10 Beginner races at Boothill, and must utilize cars that comply with the technical specifications of the Factory Stock class.

Once a Beginner wins 2 races or competes in 10 Beginner races without a win, they must move up to the Factory Stock class. A driver will not be able to compete in both classes on the same evening and once a driver competes with the Factory Stock class (and a Beginners event is being run on the same race card), they are not allowed to drop back and compete with the Beginners moving forward. The Beginner’s race winner will receive a Feature Winner board to commemorate their victory.
