6th-place result for Mitchell in CCSDS opener
Jon Mitchell turned in a strong showing at Greenwood, Louisiana’s Boothill Speedway on Saturday in the 2024 lid lifter for the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS).
The fifth annual Ronny Adams Memorial brought 31 Super Late Models to the quarter-mile track where a $10,000 first-place prize was up for grabs. After finishing fifth in his heat race, Mitchell won his B-Main and started 18th in the 40-lap finale.
He passed a dozen cars in the main event en route to an impressive sixth-place result.
Friday’s slated $5,000-to-win opener at Boothill Speedway was rained out.
